It has become a cliché by now, but the pandemic changed huge swathes of our lives over-night. Dating, something that was already moving quickly online, is now (for the most part) done via apps. But whilst these apps give daters much more choice and control, they can also lead to a wealth personal data being inadvertently shared by users, leading to data theft, doxing and other forms of abuse.
