According to the results of the comparative test published in the February issue of Virus Bulletin, Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server 5.7 demonstrated excellent detection qualities that earned the product yet another VB100 award. Eleven antivirus solutions participated in the test, performed on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 platform.

While running in “on-demand scanning” and “real-time protection” modes, Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server neutralized 100% of the viruses from an in-the-wild collection, in addition to worms and Trojans used for testing purposes. The Kaspersky Lab product also achieved an impressive 99.56% detection level of polymorphic viruses. Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server performed admirably throughout the testing process, demonstrating effective malware detection with no false positives.

“The VB100 test requirements were met without difficulty and the malware detection level was very high, meaning a Kaspersky Lab product gets another well-deserved VB100 award,” the Virus Bulletin sums up.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Linux File Server is a dual-layer solution designed to protect all types of file servers. Integration with the operating system ensures real-time protection for any operations involving modification of files.
