Kaspersky Lab stresses Cybercrime fight at CeBIT 2009

Kaspersky Lab will be showcasing the beta version of Kaspersky Open Space Security 8.0, its new suite of solutions for corporate users, as well as the new versions of Kaspersky Mobile Security for consumers and enterprises.

The dominant message from the company’s senior managers and analysts at this year’s event will be the fight against Cybercrime.

Kaspersky Lab would like to take this opportunity to invite journalists to the company’s press-related events taking place throughout the trade fair.

Eugene Kaspersky will be kicking off proceedings with a press breakfast in the Berlin room (Convention Center, ground floor) on Tuesday, 3 March, from 10.00-11.00 a.m. The Kaspersky Lab CEO will be discussing the intricacies of combating Cybercrime, explaining how we can all help to make the Internet a safer place, and outlining the strategy and vision for the company’s development.

At 11.15 a.m. on the same day, and at the same venue (the Berlin room), Nikolay Grebennikov, Vice President, Research & Development and Magnus Kalkuhl, Senior Regional Researcher, Germany, will be taking part in the press conference ‘How to protect your business from Cybercriminals’, where they will be unveiling the latest technological advances in the beta version of Kaspersky Open Space Security 8.0.

From 2 p.m.-3 p.m. on Wednesday, 4 March, Magnus Kalkul and Vitaly Kamlyuk, Senior Security Researcher, will be participating in a roundtable discussion devoted to the latest technologies for fighting Cybercrime and the current trends in malicious software. They will also be outlining the plans for the company’s virus lab.

At 6 p.m. on Thursday, 5 March, especially for all our friends, journalists and partners, Kaspersky Lab’s booth will be reverberating to the sounds of Russendisko – the hippest party at CeBIT where acclaimed DJs will be remixing some classic Russian tunes to give them a modern-day makeover.
