Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that the company’s personal products have received top awards from a number of popular Spanish IT magazines.
Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 was voted the best security software product of the year by the readers of PC Actual, according to the results of a poll published in the Spanish magazine’s December issue. The Kaspersky Lab solution’s integrated protection from all types of Internet threats was rated very highly throughout 2008 by the magazine’s readers. “One of the main advantages of Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0, designed to provide protection from all types of malware, spyware, adware and spam, is its low use of system resources,” the specialists at PC Actual commented. “In addition, the application has a user-friendly and intuitive interface that enables the user to produce reports providing a broad range of information in a convenient format.”
Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 has also been awarded the Premios Computer de Oro 2008 prize. For the second time in a row readers of the hugely popular Spanish magazine Computer Hoy named Kaspersky Lab’s product the best antivirus solution of the year for its high levels of protection and excellent price/quality ratio. “For many people, Kaspersky Lab solutions have long been synonymous with security. The results of tests have proved this product to be a real defensive shield from external threats. The user-friendly interface of Kaspersky Lab’s solution makes it suitable for any user,” the Computer Hoy review stated.
In September 2008, Kaspersky Lab launched a new generation of personal products – Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 – on the Spanish market. Technology Channel News was one of the magazines to publish reviews of the solutions. According to the results of testing, Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 received the Seguridad TCN Total award. “Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 helps users to block both known and new IT threats, scans files, emails, Internet traffic and Wi-Fi connections,” the review reads. “In addition, the solution prevents the theft of confidential data from the user’s computer.”
The new version 2009 Kaspersky Lab personal products, which were released in mid-2008, are based on a completely new antivirus engine, offering significantly improved scanning speed. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, an integrated solution, includes a unique application activity filtering module that incorporates a HIPS system, an improved firewall, a spam filter and a parental control module. The solution makes working in the global Internet environment worry-free for users.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 were developed with the requirements of Windows Vista in mind and are fully compatible with 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the operating system.
