Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 has won the “Software of the Year 2008 Gold” award from the German website Softwareload.de.
Over 100,000 visitors to the Softwareload.de site took part in the voting. The nominations, which were selected by a jury of experts, were divided into 13 categories. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 came first in the “Security” category, winning a gold medal. It is the second year in a row that a Kaspersky Lab product has won in this category.
The new personal products released by Kaspersky Lab in the middle of 2008 are based on a new antivirus engine which dramatically increases system scanning speed. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 incorporates an innovative application activity filtration module that makes use of HIPS technology together with an improved firewall, an anti-spam module and a parental control module.
