Kaspersky Lab announces new online instruction courses

3 September 2007

In addition to traditional instruction courses offered by Authorized Training Centers, now users can learn online.

Kaspersky Lab is delighted to announce a new educational/training service. In addition to standard instructor-led training held by Training , there is now an opportunity to study online.

The Kaspersky Lab Technical Support site will now feature a new section - Kaspersky Lab Online Courses. The following courses are available:

  • KL 101 Personal Security
  • KL 102 Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations and Servers
  • KL 103 Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Microsoft Exchange Servers

The first course contains details about how to protect personal computers with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. The second course covers designing, implementing and supporting anti-virus protection systems based on Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations and Servers, and enhanced with Kaspersky Administration Kit. The third course discusses mail system protection using Kaspersky Lab's products for Microsoft Exchange Servers.

Course materials are available as presentations and as exercises. The presentations focus on the general principles and design of protection systems, while the exercises help study the interface of Kaspersky Lab products and learn how to perform typical tasks. You can complete the exercises by following the step by step instructions or by watching the actions performed in the demonstration mode.

Online courses are not a substitute for instructor-led trainings. The goal of online training is to provide a better understanding of Kaspersky Lab products and show how they can be used in typical situations. The instructor-led training sessions are designed to prepare technical support staff and system administrators for a wider variety of real-life challenges. In comparison to the online courses, the instructor-led training provides a more in-depth presentation of Kaspersky Lab products.

Information about new courses will be available on the Kaspersky Lab Online Courses page at http://www.kaspersky.com/support/learning/courses.
