Kaspersky Lab has celebrated the first anniversary of its expansion to its new UK head-office in Milton Park, Abingdon, and the company's partnership with the world famous AF Corse racing team. On Friday Kaspersky Lab employees and local businesses were given the chance to get up close with the Ferrari F430 GT2 car, that last month competed in the famous Le Mans 24 Hour in France.
The IT security company, Kaspersky Lab, is one of the main sponsors of the AF Corse racing team. The Ferrari F430 on display at Kaspersky Lab's UK head-office in Milton Park was the same car that is driven by Toni Vilander and the former Formula One drivers Jean Alesi and Giancarlo Fisichella and was raced at the famous Le Mans 24 Hour in France last month.
Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab UK and Ireland, Malcolm Tuck comments: "With more than 300 million users of Kaspersky Lab products we are one of the world's fastest growing companies, so it is both appropriate and a privilege for us to be associated with one of motor racing's fastest and most prestigious marques. We are delighted to be able to give people a rare opportunity to get up close to a GT racing car that can usually be seen at speeds of near 200mph on the most famous race circuits around the world."
Alesi, Fisichella and Vilander are currently in second position in the Le Mans Series (LMS) championship and the AF Corse team, along with the Ferrari F430, will return to the UK for next race in the championship, the Autosport 1000 KM of Silverstone, that takes place during 10th, 11th and 12th September.
