Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that hosting customers who use SWsoft Plesk control panel software can now add more protection against spyware, Trojans, worms, key loggers and other malicious programs. Through an agreement with Kaspersky Lab, SWsoft will offer the Plesk Anti-Virus Powered by Kaspersky® on both the Linux and Windows platforms.

“We are excited to offer our Plesk customers an anti-virus option from Kaspersky Lab, one of the most trusted names in Internet security,” said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of SWsoft. “This is another example how our OPEN FUSION initiative is helping our growing network of hosting providers and ISVs diversify their service offerings with open, software applications to meet customer demands and take advantage of new opportunities, such as software-as-a-service (SaaS).”

Plesk Anti-Virus Powered by Kaspersky® combines reactive anti-virus and spyware detection methods with proactive technologies to provide the most effective protection for hosted email. The product is simple to install and set up, while offering advanced users a range of versatile settings for fine-tuning the program. SWsoft is currently offering the software as an add-on for Plesk 8.1 for Windows. The add-on will also be available for Linux users in the upcoming release of Plesk 8.2.

"Through our agreement with SWsoft, we can extend the benefits of dependable anti-virus software to a new set of web hosting customers,” said Vitaly Bezrodnykh, Business Development Director at Kaspersky Lab. “Service providers will be able to drive additional revenue through a greater menu of anti-virus offerings and flexible security options for their customer base.”

“Internet security is one of the most important issues for our customers, so we are pleased to be able to offer them another option from two industry leaders, SWsoft and Kaspersky,” said Damian Schmidt, CEO of STRATO. “Plesk Anti-Virus Powered by Kaspersky® allows us to diversify our service offerings and gives our customers more flexibility to choose the best solution for their security needs.”
